Why do we need to a logo design brief?

The most effective way for us to give you the best value for money, is to know as much as we can about your company, what you stand for, your likes and dislikes and so on. 
Knowing this information we can make sure that you don’t need to rebrand in a year, that your logo communicates effectively with your perfect target market and, most of all, that you actually LIKE your brand while it is still effective.


Who Are You?

  1. Your name
  2. Company name
  3. Please write out the logo name exactly as you’d like for it to appear in the design (*For example: The Creative Design / Creative Design / The Creative, etc.)
  4. What services or products are you offering? 
  5. What pain points does these solve for your client? 
  6. How would you describe your company to someone who doesn’t know what you do?

Define Your Brand
  1. What is your WHY? (Why do you do what you do, why do you get up in the morning to work on your business?)
  2. What is your Brand purpose? 
  3. What is your Brand Culture? 
  4. What impact do you want your service/product to have on your client? 
  5. Please supply at least 3 adjectives that you want associated with your brand. 
  6. What makes you different from your competitors? 

Who Do You Speak To?
  1. What kind of customer do you speak to? 
  2. What tone of voice do you want to speak with? 
  3. Who is your target market/demographic? (For example: Namibians, small business owners, 25 – 60 years of age, mostly female, interested in parenthood)
  4. Who is your direct competition? (Please try to give at least 3 samples. If possible, include their website addresses.)
  5. Do you have a short tag line you will sometimes use, when appropriate, with your logo? (We will keep this in consideration and add it to your logo if possible.)

Visual Preferences
  1. Do you have samples of logos that you like? (It can be of an already existing brand. What do you like of these logos / brands? (Include links with your samples.)
  2. What brand personality do you want for your brand? 
  3. Are there any elements that you would like to be included in your design? 
  4. Are there any images or concepts you DO NOT want to see? 
  5. What colours do you like? Which colours do you dislike?
